Paris’ Interview With Larry King

Paris Hilton has a new mantra: Change is good.

"I've been a little immature in the past and made some wrong choices. But they made me who I am today," the hotel heiress, who walked out of jail Tuesday morning, said in her first TV interview, on CNN's Larry King Live Wednesday.

"I felt like this is a new beginning for me," she added. "There's just so much more to me than what people think."

Advancing a message she first began to spread while still behind bars (and emphasized in her interview with PEOPLE on Tuesday), Hilton, 26, said she now appreciates "things I took for granted" and plans to use her fame "in a good way." She called jail "a very traumatic experience, but I do feel God makes everything happen for a reason."

Hilton told King that her incarceration allowed her "time to figure out who I am." Asked if jail changed her, she replied, "Yeah, definitely. I have a new outlook on life."

To survive the ordeal, particularly in the beginning, Hilton said, "I went with the motto, 'Don't serve time, let the time serve you.' "

She also told of complete strangers showing up during visiting hours claiming to be relatives so they could meet her (they were not permitted inside) and said that she didn't really hear what was being said about her in the outside world.

Growing guarded when asked about her friend Britney Spears, Hilton said, "Sweet girl, a good mom." Admitting that she knows Lindsay Lohan ("I wish the best for her," Hilton offered), she later said, "I don't have any friends in rehab." (Lohan is currently in Promises, a treatment facility.)

Asked by King why she's doing interviews, Hilton, who spoke quietly throughout the low-key hour, said, "I just want to let people know what I went through ... something I've really grown from."

Of the constant attention paid to her, King wondered, "Why you?" "I have no idea," Hilton replied. "I'm just living my life."

Hilton, who says she read the Bible to pass time in jail, hesitated when asked for her favorite Bible passage, but said she read the book every day. "I don't know if I have a favorite," she said.

Raised a Catholic, Hilton said she will now go to Mass.

After taping the interview earlier on Wednesday (it did not air live), King was interviewed on CNN's Paula Zahn Now about his personal reactions to Hilton, and asked how sincere he found her claim that she's turning over a new leaf.

King labeled her situation "a double-edge sword. There's a kind of denial over having done anything wrong. ... She thinks she got a raw deal. On the other hand, she thinks she used jail to her benefit."

Asked to predict Hilton's future, King replied, "I think we shall see what we shall see."

Paris’ Fist Jam Packed Day Out Of Jail

After sashaying out of prison early yesterday morning and being whisked to her grandparents' mansion in Holmby Hills, Paris Hilton was having what appeared to be a quiet celebration as family and friends visited the newly freed star while the media swarmed outside. Pink balloons, a "Welcome Home" cake and a $200 bouquet of pink hydrangeas, yellow lilies and pink roses were delivered to the house. Paris also ordered hair extensions from her own company, Dreams Catchers Hair Extensions, who gave her 20" long extensions. Later in the day, two Taco Bell reps arrived with four bags of food, which Paris had ordered to be passed out to all the reporters, photographers and even policemen. The heiress will be appearing on Larry King Live tonight for her first post-jail interview. She then went off to do a photo shoot for the cover of the latest Poeple magazine.

Paris Is Free

After 23 days in jail, Paris Hilton is finally a free woman.

The heiress was released from prison shortly after midnight on Tuesday. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Paris lost nearly 10 pounds during her stay, and that on her way out of jail, she stopped to change clothes in a public restroom that "smells rancid."

Sources also tell TMZ that Lynwood jail is happy to see Paris go, and they hope that things can now get back to normal.

Paris Will Be On Larry King

CNN has won the battle for Paris.

A CNN rep confirms to Usmagazine.com that Paris Hilton has agreed to give her first post-jail television interview to Larry King this Wednesday night. The network tells Us the interview will be conducted over the entire hour of the program in the Larry King Live studio in Los Angeles and, according to a CNN source, "Paris will not be paid a dime for the interview."

CNN spokesperson Bridget Leininger also tells Us: "Larry doesn't tell us production details, but what I can tell you is that Larry does not pay for interviews and there are no ground rules."

The news that Hilton, who is expected to be released this Monday from the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, will share details of her 23-day incarceration with CNN - for free - comes just one day after a $1 million deal with NBC News reportedly fell through and after family friend Barbara Walters reportedly declined a personal request by Hilton that she conduct a paid interview for ABC. A $300,000 photo exclusive with People was also reportedly scrapped.

Hilton's interview on Larry King Live will air Wednesday at 9 p.m. E.T.

Paris Is Grateful

Paris Hilton says in an interview from jail she's a changed woman who now appreciates "things I took for granted" and plans to use her fame "in a good way."

"I'm so much more grateful for everything that I have, even just to have a pillow at night or food," Hilton told E! News's Ryan Seacrest in a phone conversation from Century Regional Correctional Facility.

Hilton, who is scheduled to be released next week, says she plans to use her celebrity for good – and doesn't want to be the object of ridicule anymore.

"You know my gratitude has gone up so much and I just realize that the media used me to make fun of and be mean about it," she tells Seacrest in the interview for Thursday's show. "Frankly [I'm] sick of it and I want to use my fame in a good way."

Of her life behind bars, Hilton, who was jailed for violating probation for driving with a suspended license, says it's been difficult being kept from her family. "I am behind glass and I want to give my dad a big hug and they won't even let me do that."

She also insists that she is not receiving any special treatment in jail. "That's how the rules are, you have to be behind glass," she said. "I'm not a criminal, I'm not dangerous, so it makes me feel like that. It's hard but I'm stronger everyday."

As for the future, Hilton says: "I just can't wait to see my family and have a nice meal and be in my own bed and appreciate all the things I took for granted and never really thought much about."

Paris’ Parents Make Their Appearance

Paris Hilton got to meet with her parents Tuesday afternoon. And her father, Rick Hilton, exclusively tells Usmagazine.com the half-hour visit - between bullet-proof glass at the visitor's center inside L.A.'s Twin Towers Correctional Facility - was "hard."

"She's weepy," Rick says, "but she's doing the best she can. It's hard, but she's hanging in there."

As the couple left the jail, a resigned Kathy Hilton told TMZ reporters: "It is what it is. [Paris] wants to just do her time, and get on."

Paris has been incarcerated at Twin Towers since a judge ordered her return to jail on June 8. Prior to her time there, Paris served five days of her sentence for a probation violation in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, and one at home under house arrest.

Hilton will next be able to see visitors on Sunday

Paris Gets Dropped

Paris Hilton has been dropped by her talent agent, PEOPLE confirms.

"Paris is no longer a client," says Endeavor agency rep Michael Donkis, who declined to specify a reason for the move.

According to a source, Hilton was dropped last Friday – the day she was ordered back to jail from home confinement. The move was announced in a company-wide email, the source says.

The Beverly Hills-based agency has represented Hilton since 2005, handling her deal for The Simple Life.

Hilton, meanwhile, spent her fourth night in the medical ward of the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles. She is serving out a 23-day minimum sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related driving case.

Paris Talks To Walters, And Her Sis Makes A Stop

Paris Hilton got on the horn with Barbara Walters yesterday, and told her that she felt "caged" in jail, but said that she's tired of playing "dumb" and that "God has given me this new chance."

"Good Morning America" reports that Babwa was on the phone with Paris' mom Kathy when Paris called in on the other line -- and said she wanted to talk to Walters directly. So Paris called her collect in New York, and they had a brief chat. Among the highlights: "I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage. ... It was a horrible experience." More details of the conversation will be unveiled on "The View" later.

Meanwhile, Paris Hilton's sister Nicky and her ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos paid a visit to the world's most famous inmate yesterday, but some non-VIP visitors are bellyaching that that they got unfairly express treatment.

Nicky and Stav saw Paris for about half an hour, reports the New York Post, but only had to wait about 15 minutes -- whereas other, less exalted visitors had to wait two to four hours. "This isn't right," said one woman, who had waited for four hours. "We take off our Saturdays and Sunday to come here and do this."

In other Paris news, Usmagazine.com reports that Paris had an at-home spray tan session from Portofino Sun Spa during the day she was home to get back some color after her first three days inside. "She was in a great mood and so happy to be home," says an Us source.

Paris Is Back In Jail!

Paris Hilton thought her nightmare was over, but her bad dream continues — she is on her way back to jail. The heiress dissolved into tears, crying out "Mom, Mom, this isn't right," as her mother, Kathy, also shed tears when Judge Michael Sauer made his decision for Paris to finish her 45-day sentence in jail, a few minutes after noon, LA time today.

Kathy begged bailiffs to allow her to give her daughter a last hug before the sentence starts, but her request was refused. As she was led away, Paris' screams could be heard throughout the courtroom.

The decision to send Paris, 26, back to the facility in Lynwood, Calif., caps a dramatic 36 hours, which began when she was released from the jail under cover of darkness yesterday morning.

LA County Sheriff Lee Baca and city attorney Rocky Delgadillo have been involved in a public sparring match, with Delgadillo charging that Baca was in contempt of court for allowing her out and instead put under house arrest.

Judge Sauer had ordered that Paris be brought back into court this morning for the hearing, and she was handcuffed at her home above the Sunset Strip and taken to the court wearing a baggy gray sweatshirt.

Paris May Be Going Back To Jail

Paris Hilton could be sent back to jail today.

The hotel heiress - who was released from California's Century Regional Detention Facility yesterday for unspecified medical reasons and put on 40-day house arrest after serving just five days of her sentence - has been ordered to report to the Los Angeles Superior Court at 9am today.

A judge will hear her case for "reassignment" to house arrest and decide if she should return to prison.

Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, said her "reassignment" from her 8ft by 12ft cell to her luxury home was made after "extensive consultations" with jail doctors and the sentencing judge.

However, a court spokesman has insisted the decision was not approved by Judge Michael Sauer, who sentenced Paris last month for driving with a suspended license.

At the time, Sauer had specifically ruled she could not serve her jail time at home under electronic monitoring.

Sauer set today's hearing after a request from the city's attorneys who are now suggesting Sheriff Lea Baca should be held in contempt of court for releasing Paris early. City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, whose office prosecuted the 26-year-old, complained he had no idea she had left jail.

He said: "The judicial process may have been improperly circumvented. It is the city attorney's position that the decision on whether or not Ms. Hilton should be released early and placed on electronic monitoring should be made by Judge Sauer and not the Sheriff's Department.

"The sheriff's explanation for Paris' house arrest is puzzling, county jails are well-equipped to deal with medical situations involving inmates."

Paris was reportedly released after developing a rash, according to US TV show 'Entertainment Tonight', while gossip website TMZ.com claim she was in danger of having of a nervous breakdown.

County Supervisor Don Knabe fumed: "What transpired here is outrageous. I have received more than 400 angry emails and hundreds more phone calls from around the country. Her return home gives the impression of celebrity justice being handed out."

Paris, who was fitted with an ankle bracelet to keep track of her whereabouts, praised jail staff after being released in the early hours of yesterday morning.

She said: "Thank you for treating me fairly and professionally. I have learned a great deal from this ordeal and hope others have learned from my mistakes."

Paris Is Out Of Jail!!

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has held a press conference to announce why Paris has been freed from jail after only three days.

According to TMZ, spokesperson Steve Whitmore has said that Paris HAS been released from prison after authorities agreed to let her go due to medical reasons. The medical reasons cannot be named due to confidentiality issues.

A video feed shows Whitmore saying the following:

“Paris Hilton has been reassigned to our Community Based Alternative To Custody Electronic Monitoring programme. She has been fitted with an ankle bracelet and she has been sent home and she will be confined to her home for the next forty days. Because she has agreed to this through her attorney her sentence is now back up to forty five days. She has served already five days, so that’s forty days. She will now be under the supervision of the LA County probation department.”

Paris’s jail cell was 96 square feet. Under her house arrest, she has freedom within a 3000-4000 feet radius.

The Sheriff’s department want to make it clear that Paris has not been pardoned from her sentence: she is still serving time and is still technically in custody, albeit from the own home.

How Paris Is Dealing

What's life like in jail for the world's most famous heiress?

People reports:

Paris Hilton got her second visitor in jail: her psychiatrist.
Dr. Charles Sophy, the Beverly Hills therapist who has been treating her for the past eight months, entered the jail with Hilton's lawyer Tuesday and stayed for about two hours.

Both left without commenting.

TMZ adds:

Paris has been crying on the phone, saying she's not sleeping or eating. Paris says her cell is "freezing cold." She has three little blankets and no pillow. She's using one of the blankets as a pillow. The room is bright and jail noise echoes through her space.
Sleep isn't the only problem. Paris says she has no appetite and has eaten almost nothing.

Paris Is In Jail

TMZ was there when Paris Hilton turned herself in to Sheriff's authorities Sunday night.
It didn't go down at the jail. Paris' mega-lawyer, Richard Hutton, picked her up at her parents' house at 10:30 PM. Hilton, Hutton, mom Kathy and sister Nicky then drove to the Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles -- commonly referred to as the Twin Towers -- where Paris officially surrendered to the L.A. County Sheriff to begin her 23-day sentence.

The Sheriff devised the plan of surrendering miles away from the actual site where Paris will be doing time because the crush of paparazzi at the jail created a potential safety hazard.

Paris was then driven to the jail in Lynwood, where she is now serving her sentence.

Earlier in the evening, Hilton left her house for the MTV Music Awards. After appearing on the red carpet, Hilton went to her parents' house for a brief time, then left with her lawyer to face the music.

Law enforcement officials tell TMZ the plans for Paris have changed. Although they had pre-screened a woman who was designated her cell mate, for the time being Hilton will be in solitary 23 out of 24 hours every day. The one hour that she's out, she's not really out. Hilton will be allowed to shower, use a phone and watch TV in a small pod adjacent to her cell.

Paris' lawyer just released a statement to TMZ from Hilton: "I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. During the past few weeks, I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes."

Hilton added, "This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their continued support. Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence."

Paris Gets Dropped By Record Label

As she prepares to spend 23 days behind bars, Paris Hilton has been served another blow - her record label has just announced that they will be dropping her.

Despite Paris's confident declaration that she would "leave a mark on music," her pop efforts tanked bigtime and now label Warner Bros has revealed that they have no plans to work with the heiress "in the forseeable future".

A label insider tells the Daily Mirror, "Paris was sweet but she became more and more unreliable, which was a shame as the first song showed real promise.

"She started missing interviews and everyone lost patience. She claimed she'd been working on the album for years and was proud of it. But the sales just didn't add up and in the end it was an easy decision to make."

Paris's debut single, Stars Are Blind, was released in a blaze of expensive publicity and made it to No.5 in the UK charts. It was all down hill from there.

Paris has said, "I still cry when I play my CD in the car or at home because it's so good." After spending a small fortune promoting her disasterous music career, we bet there was a few tears shed at Warner Bros too.

Paris Getting Ready For Tuesday

Paris Hilton has ordered a hair and makeup team to meet her at her home 9 AM Monday so she can get done up and look her best for the media when she walks into prison on Tuesday morning to serve her time. A friend tells Rush & Molloy:

"The timing is to make sure she makes all the celebrity weeklies. Paris is a genius at marketing herself. She managed to turn having a sex tape to her benefit, and she's going to do the same out of going to prison. It's not just about marketing, it's about making money. If she can set up her entry into jail in a very grand way, the payoff will be greater ... Paris doesn't do contrite very well. She will be glam, and Paris is the queen of the prop. Expect her hair pulled back in a ponytail, big sunglasses and maybe a Holy Bible under one arm. And she just got a new kitten, so maybe she'll hand that to her sister [Nicky] as she gets out of the car. There might even be tears."
Paris has also decided to write a prison diary during her 23-day sentence, in hopes of publishing it upon release.

"Paris' prison diary will make a more dramatic read than Martha Stewart's. If she can make it believable, and not exaggerate too much, she might expect to make a million dollars out of it."

Spencer Supports Paris

With the mob gathering to burn Paris Hilton at the stake (94% of you told Usmagazine.com that you don't feel sorry for the jail-bound heiress), one brave Hollywood celebrity is stepping forward to defend the honor of the paparazzi princess.

That man is controversial The Hills star Spencer Pratt, who is voicing his (lonely) support of his pal Hilton by launching his own "Free Paris" campaign on his Myspace page.

You might best know Spencer as the hyper-caffeinated boyfriend/manager of the recently transformed Heidi Montag, or as the guy who masterminded Heidi ending her BFF-ship with Lauren Conrad.

But now you might best know the MTV reality star as the only person crazy enough to lend his support to the embattled DUI offender!

Spencer tells Usmagazine.com: "I've always thought that the punishment should fit the crime. Paris has changed her image dramatically over the last couple years. Now she is such a good role model and a smart business woman. So it's a shame that a miscommunication between her and her people is landing her in jail. She should get probation with community service, but no way should she be put in jail with real criminals."

Spencer, a political science major at USC, also tells us that once he gets 100,000 supporters to sign his online petition he will hand-deliver it to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Paris Will Do 45 Days In Jail

A judge sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in jail today for violating her probation, putting the brakes on the hotel heiress’ famous high life.

Hilton, who parlayed her name and relentless partying into worldwide notoriety, must go to jail on June 5 and she will not be allowed any work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or any electronic monitoring in lieu of jail, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ruled after a hearing.

The judge ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

“I’m very sorry and from now on I’m going to pay complete attention to everything. I’m sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all,” she told the judge before he announced the sentence.

She was then ordered to report to a women’s jail in suburban Lynwood on the set date or face 90 days behind bars.

As a city prosecutor said during closing arguments that Hilton deserved jail time, Hilton’s mother, Kathy, laughed. When the judge ruled, Kathy Hilton then blurted out: “May I have your autograph?’’

Paris Hilton was among a series of witnesses who took the stand during the hearing. She maintained she was unaware her license was suspended and thought she was allowed to drive for work purposes.

She said that when an officer who stopped her in January made her sign a document stating her license was suspended, she thought he was mistaken and did not actually look at the document.

Hilton arrived at the courthouse 10 minutes after the scheduled 1:30 p.m. start time of the hearing.

The heiress arrived in the back of a black Cadillac Escalade and swept into the Metropolitan Courthouse with several men in suits, ignoring screams of photographers lining the route into a rear entrance. In addition to her mother, her father, Rick, also came with her.

Wearing a gray jacket and white shirt over black slacks and with a black headband on, she said nothing and appeared serious.

The celebrity case brought an unusual scene to the austere courthouse south of downtown in a commercial area. As if at a red-carpet event, dozens of photographers and reporters lined up at the rear entrance. Yellow police tape substituted for velvet ropes.

Hilton, 26, pleaded no contest in January to reckless driving stemming from a Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood. Police said she appeared intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. She had a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent, the level at which an adult driver is in violation of the law.

She was sentenced to 36 months probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines.

Two other traffic stops and failure to enroll in a mandated alcohol education program are what landed the socialite back in court.

On Jan. 15, Hilton was pulled over by California Highway Patrol. Officers informed her that she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging that she was not to drive, according to papers filed in Superior Court.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies stopped Hilton on Feb. 27 and charged her with violating her probation. Police said she was pulled over at about 11 p.m. after authorities saw the car speeding with its headlights off.

Hilton’s spokesman, Elliot Mintz, said at the time Hilton wasn’t aware her license was suspended. A copy of the document Hilton signed on Jan. 15 was found in the car’s glove compartment, court papers say.

Hilton was also required to enroll in an alcohol education program by Feb. 12. As of April 17, she had not enrolled, prosecutors said.

Hilton, heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune, first gained notoriety for her hard partying as a teen. She attracted worldwide attention when a sex tape she made with a boyfriend was released on the Internet.

She stars in the reality-TV series, “The Simple Life,” now in its fifth season, with Nicole Richie. She appeared in the 2005 film, “House of Wax” and recently finished filming “The Hottie and the Nottie.”

Paris’ New Beau

Paris Hilton is reportedly dating actor Josh Henderson. The blonde beauty sparked romance rumors after being spotted out with him reports Entertainment Wise.

The socialite was photographed partying with the Desperate Wives star following an outing last week.

Meanwhile, TV producer Aaron Spelling's son Randy, claims socialite Paris Hilton lost her virginity to him.

The 26-year-old actor, who co-starred with his former flame in the 2006 straight-to-video movie Pledge This!, claims they had sex together when Hilton was just 15--three years shy of the legal age of consent in California.

Randy tells the New York Daily News, "We were together for, like, two months.

"We went to Palm Springs once for the weekend, and we couldn't check into the hotel under her name because her grandma was looking for her.

"She was, like, 15; I was 17. And what do you know, I hear this knock-knock-knock on the door, and I look out and her grandma's there. And then I look out the window and I see Paris in a full-on dress with a suitcase running down the golf course. We broke up like a week later."

Paris Should Stop Driving!

Paris Hilton went to the Virgin Megastore in West Hollywood to pick up some DVDs last night at around 10:30, when she was stopped by the cops -- and her $200K 2007 Bentley Continental GTC Convertible was towed away.

Paris' publicist, Elliot Mintz, tells TMZ the heiress was exiting the parking structure which "is brightly lit so she had not noticed that her headlights were not activated." As she drove a few blocks, she was confronted by other bright lights -- those of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies tell TMZ Paris was speeding down Sunset Blvd. without headlights. She was pulled over and deputies discovered she was driving with a suspended license. According to Mintz, "If that was the case, she was not aware of it."

Last month Hilton pled no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving. TMZ is checking to see if her license was suspended as part of her sentence. If so, she could have violated probation.

Paris was cited and her 2007 Blue Bentley was impounded. Just another day in the life.

Paris Sues To Close Web Site

Paris Hilton on Monday slapped a federal lawsuit on the Web site that's displaying private photos, videos, diaries and other possessions she had kept in storage, the Associated Press reports.

Parisexposed.com, which the 25-year-old Simple Life star hopes to shut down, launched Jan. 23.

It lets visitors paying $39.97 view Hilton's passport, bank statements, medical records and other legal documents that the site claims were auctioned off after Hilton failed to pay the rent on a Los Angeles-area storage facility.

In her legal papers, Hilton says the items went into a 6,000-sq.-ft. storage unit two years ago when she and her sister, Nicky, 23, moved out of a house that had been burglarized.

Hilton claims a moving company was to pay the storage fees.

"I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting my and my sisters' (sic) private personal belongings for commercial gain," Hilton said in a statement accompanying the lawsuit, according to the AP. She said she feared the information – which includes credit card receipts and her passport – could be used "to steal my identity, or even worse, to harass or stalk me."

The lawsuit alleges that defendants Nabil and Nabila Haniss of Culver City, Calif., paid $2,775 for Hilton's items and then sold them for $10 million to entrepreneur Bardia Persa, creator of ParisExposed.com.

Reads the text on the Web site: "Believe it or not, this supermodel, from one of the wealthiest families in the world, failed to pay her $208 bill. ... As you probably guessed by now, the storage unit was auctioned off ... the heiress lost all rights to her goods."

The Hanisses could not be located for comment, according to the AP. Persa did not respond to a request for comment.

Hilton's publicist Elliott Mintz told AP that she would like the site shut down and "all of these items returned to her."

Paris Gets Probation

Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton was sentenced to three years probation Monday after pleading no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving stemming from a September arrest in Hollywood reports La Times.

Hilton, who was not in court and entered the plea through her attorneys, was also fined $390 and ordered to attend an alcohol-education program by a Los Angeles judge. In California a no contest plea is the legal equivalent of pleading guilty.

Hilton, 25, was arrested Sept. 7 just after midnight for driving erratically in her silver Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren in Hollywood, according to the LAPD.

She scored a .08 on a Breathalyzer, the minimum blood-alcohol level to qualify as a DUI reports People Magazine.

Paris And Stavros Heat Up

They split in May and reconnected – temporarily – in July, but Paris Hilton and Stavros Niarchos certainly seemed back on at the South Beach, Fla., nightclub Ink on Friday night.

Hilton, 25, and Niarchos met up around 1 a.m. with Hilton's pal Brandon Davis and sister Nicky Hilton (who earlier hit Andy Roddick's charity celebrity poker tournament at Hard Rock Live), but only had eyes for each other when the DJ played Billy Idol's "Mony Mony" and Hilton treated the Greek shipping heir to a lap dance.

The group later moved on to the club Mokai in Miami Beach, where Niarchos joined Hilton on the dance floor, at one point even lifting her up and spinning her around on his shoulder.

Their night hit a snag at around 3:15, when the pair stepped outside and briefly argued about their plans (Niarchos wanted to leave but Hilton didn't – plus the barefoot heiress had left her shoes inside the club). But Niarchos apparently won out.

So what's the story with Niarchos and Hilton, who was recently photographed with a diamond on her ring finger? Her rep, Elliot Mintz, tells PEOPLE, "Paris is not engaged. She does wear rings on different hands and fingers and depending on what's comfortable, but she is not engaged."

Still, a source close to Hilton tells PEOPLE, "Not only are she and Stavros together, but they are in love."
