Owen Is Out And About
In his first official public appearance since a reported suicide attempt in August landed him in the hospital, Owen Wilson joined fellow cast members on stage at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre for the Los Angeles premiere of The Darjeeling Limited last night. Support and love was free-flowing from his co-stars Jason Schwartzman, Natalie Portman, Adrien Brody and Anjelica Huston, and from director Wes Anderson, who introduced Owen as "my best friend." He went on to say, "I've never made a movie without him, and I hope I never have to." In his dark suit and white shirt, Owen appeared happy and thankful to be up on stage as the audience cheered for him. It looks like he's on the road to recovery.

Kate Is Not Allowed To See Owen
Kate Hudson has been trying to get in contact with her former beau Owen Wilson, but her advances are being declined by those close to Owen.
Owen, who is currently recovering from a suicide attempt, was said to have been very depressed after his split with the actress, which could be why Kates attempts are being blocked.
A close friend told Gatecrasher: "Kate has been trying to get in touch with Owen and is distraught that the family doesn't want her anywhere near him. She is very frustrated."
The insider added: "[Owen's family members] don't think Kate is good for him."
Having met on the set of You, Me and Dupree, the pair hooked up although their rocky relationship ended after a few months.

Owen Is At Home
Less than a week after his suicide attempt, Owen Wilson is back at home and being watched around the clock.
֓Owen is in bad mental shape but said he is thankful to be alive, says a source close to the actor, who had returned to his Santa Monica home on Saturday. He knows he came close to ending his life, and he is happy that he was saved from himself. He is basically at home with people watching him 24/7.
WilsonӔs rep declined to comment.

Owen Wilson In Hospital
Owen Wilson is being treated in hospital after reports he tried to commit suicide.The actor was taken to St. John's hospital in Santa Monica on Sunday, August 26, by ambulance. It is understood that he sliced his left wrist and took an indeterminate amount of pills before being found by his brother Andrew. He was discovered by a family member who summoned help. Police and an ambulance responded to a 911 call from Owen's house around noon on Sunday. His wrist was sutured and bandaged at the hospital. The National Enquirer reported that Wilson was also going to be treated for the drugs he had ingested. The report said: "Andrew found him after the suicide attempt and called an ambulance. "Both of Owen's wrists were slashed superficially and Owen had taken an overdose of pills. "Owen was found with a nearly empty bottle of pills next to him. He was at his house in Santa Monica." Wilson's brothers Andrew and Luke are believed to be at the star's bedside. Santa Monica Police issued a statement on the incident: "On Sunday Aug. 26. 2007 at 12:10pm, officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department at the 900 block of 23rd Street. "The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated."
TMZ has obtained the following statement from Owen Wilson:
"I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."

Kate And Owen Are On Again, Off Again
In what's starting to resemble an episode of Laguna Beach, In Touch says Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have called it quits. Again. At issue? Owen's inability to commit. Again. "She's complaining to everyone that she made all theses sacrifices and he can't be in a committed relationship [and] that if he didn't step up and make time for her, then she was over it," an insider told the New York Post. "A few days after that, she broke up with him over the phone." And after that, Kate painted New York City red, going to parties all over town before flying back to LA on Thursday. However if this breakup doesn't stick, don't be surprised. "They've broken up and gotten back together a million times," adds the insider. It's like high school all over again.

Kate And Owen Together Again
It's a long way to go for a movie date. But Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson made a rare public appearance Down Under Sunday to attend a private screening of Matthew McConaughey's We Are Marshall in Broadbeach on Australia's Gold Coast.
Wilson and Hudson made a low-key entrance to the Pacific Fair cinema, passed by the complimentary candy bar (thanks to McConaughey) and settled into their seats.
Wilson, a friend of McConaughey, was the surprise guest at the screening for the thirty cast and crew members of Fool's Gold, which McConaughey and Hudson have been filming on location since November.
"They were cozy – they chose seats together – and seemed relaxed although slightly nervous, probably because they were in public together," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "Once the lights dimmed, they chilled out a bit more."
According to local newspapers, Wilson jetted Down Under and has been spotted about town over the past weekend.

Kate And Owen Still Together?
It looks like Kate Hudson hasn't quit Owen Wilson cold turkey. Though the actress has been linked to a number of different men - like Justin Timberlake - since she broke things off with her You, Me & Dupree co-star, she's decided to give things with him another try.
According to a source for the New York Daily News, Owen has visited Kate while she films Fool's Gold with Matthew McConaughey. One Australian source said, alluding to the visit, "Kate had a very close, friendly relationship with the paparazzi on set, but she changed her tune earlier this week. There was a five-day period when she requested no photographers. [Her people] even threatened to get the police on them if they didn't leave her alone." Wilson's rep told NYDN that he was currently in India, likely working on The Darjeeling Limited, his upcoming film with longtime collaborator, Wes Anderson. Still India is a lot closer to Australia than America is. So Wilson's being in India doesn't negate the fact that he may have been in Australia earlier this week.
An insider told NYDN the reason why Kate and Owen cooled off in the first place. The source said, "Owen backed out [of Christmas and New Year] because he didn't want to deal with the whole situation with her family. There's [estranged husband Chris Robinson] and the baby, and also Goldie [Hawn] and Kurt [Russell] don't approve of the relationship."

Owen Goes Ring Shopping
Is Owen Wilson ready to pop the question to Kate Hudson? The 38-year-old actor was spotted ring shopping with his mother at the Harry Winston store at the Highland Park Mall in Dallas on Friday.
"They were looking at a huge, pear-shaped, flawless diamond engagement ring," a witness tells Page Six.
Owen and Hudson fell in love filming You, Me and Dupree last year, and Hudson, 27, soon separated from her hubby of nearly six years, rocker Chris Robinson, 39.
A rep for Wilson confirmed the shopping trip to the New York Post, but insisted, "Owen's mother was looking for jewelry for herself."
Hudson, who has a son Ryder, 2, with Robinson, is currently in Australia filming Fool's Gold with Matthew McConaughey.

Kate And Owen Do Dinner And Dancing
Just past 10:30 pm on September 15, Kate Hudson, 27, and three girlfriends strolled into L.A.’s Chateau Marmont – where the who’s who of Hollywood regularly meet (and hook up). As if on cue, 45 minutes later, a blond guy wearing a baseball cap approached their corner table and kissed Hudson on the cheek.
“It was Owen Wilson,” says another Chateau patron. “She was so happy to see him!” The You, Me and Dupree costars whispered in each other’s ears as their knees touched and she showed him photos on her digital camera.
Says the patron, “They gave each other their undivided attention.” The group exited just past midnight, then hit the chic Les Deux club – where Hudson and Wilson, 37, flirted in front of high-profile revelers, including Prince. “They smiled the entire time,” says a witness. “They didn’t care who saw.”
