Ellen Pompeo Is Married
Ellen Pompeo is now officially married. The Grey’s Anatomy star and fiancé Chris Ivery married on Friday, the Boston Globe reports.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg served as their witness at the brief ceremony, which was performed at City Hall in Lower Manhattan by a city clerk, says the Globe.
The connection between the couple and Hizzoner has to do with the fact that the record-producer groom, 38, grew up in Boston, while Bloomberg himself is a native of Medford, Mass. Pompeo, who also turned 38 on Saturday, hails from Everett, Mass.
“We have a lot in common,” Pompeo has told PEOPLE. “We’re from the same hometown, almost.”

Makhi Phifer Has A Boy
ERs Mekhi Phifer and his fiancée Oni Souratha have welcomed their first child together.
Mekhi Thira Phifer was born in Los Angeles on Tuesday at 6:47 a.m., and weighed 5 lbs., 4 oz.
"We are really happy and excited," the couple tells PEOPLE. "He is beautiful."
The boy joins Omikaye, the actor's 8-year-old son from a previous relationship.
The couple showed off their son's green-themed nursery to some 200 friends – including Don Cheadle and Laura Linney – at their baby shower earlier this month.
"This is just the start of the tribe," Phifer, 32, told PEOPLE at the shower. "I want to have four or five kids."

Rapper T.I Arrested
Rapper T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., was arrested this afternoon in Atlanta. The ATF executed a search warrant at his home, and according to Atlanta's FOX 5 News, T.I., remains in custody.
The agencies at the scene of the federal search warrant include: The ATF, U.S. Marshals: Fugitive Task Force, Fulton County SWAT, Fulton County PD, Dekalb County PD, and the ATF/Atlanta PD Violent Crime Impact Team.
The U.S. Attorney's office will neither confirm nor deny anything about the investigation.
T.I. currently has a number of projects, including a movie with Denzel Washington set for November release, and he was slated to perform at tonight's BET Hip-Hop Awards, scheduled to air October 17. The rapper has nine nominations, more than any other artist at the event.
TMZ contacted T.I.'s rep, who had no statement at the time.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) arrested rapper T.I. in Atlanta today on multiple weapons charges, after they say he had a bodyguard try to buy machine guns and silencers for him.
According to the Feds, T.I,, whose real name is Clifford Harris, was busted after they learned one of his bodyguards was allegedly trying to purchase machine guns for the musician. Authorities say the bodyguard admitted to purchasing about nine firearms for T.I. in the past and about 17 firearms for other people in the musician's posse on previous occasions. The bodyguard claims the rapper gave him cash to purchase the guns, because T.I., as a convicted felon, was not able to legally buy firearms. The bodyguard was arrested last week trying to buy several guns. After his arrest, the bodyguard agreed to cooperate with authorities -- that cooperation led to today's arrest.

Country Singer Joe Nichols Enters Rehab
Just one month after he married his girlfriend of twelve years, Heather Singleton, country crooner Joe Nichols has entered rehab. Nichols, who is best known for his hit song "Another Side of You," entered a program to deal with unspecified substance abuse problems.
"As Joe has alluded to in interviews over the past year, he has struggled with the issue of substance abuse. In order to be a healthier person and deal with longstanding issues, he has entered into a rehabilitation program for consultation and treatment," said Nichols management on his website.
Diddy Throws Some Punches
Rap Mogul/serial baby daddy Sean "P. Diddy" Combs got into yet another confrontation yesterday -- this time, allegedly over a woman. According to sources, Combs was partying at NYC club Kiosk when he got into an argument with another partygoer, Steven Acevedo.
According to Page Six, the two exchanged words, and then His Diddyness allegedly hit Acevedo in the face while screaming, "I'll kill you, punk."
Acevedo ended up with a bloody nose and a fat lip. Diddy, on the other hand, was able to run home and call 911 to file a police report, but later declined to comment.

Britney Is Going To Kill Herself?!
Britney Spears phoned up ex-husband Kevin Federline threatening to commit suicide after their latest court battle.
The popstar was granted only one day a week with her sons by a judge on Friday, and Spears reportedly rang up Federline to rant at him as she drove down Los Angeles’ famous Mulholland Drive.
Eyeing up the plunging drops from the road, a furious Britney screamed at him, “I'm going to drive off the cliff! It's going to be your fault that I killed myself," reports the News Of The World.
A source adds, “Britney blows hot and cold. No one knows what's going through her mind - especially her."

New Couple Alert
First Orlando Bloom was linked to being with Jennifer Aniston in Mexico. Now, OK Magazine is claiming that he is secretly dating Jessica Simpson? The pair arrived at the Hennessy Artistry event at Paramount Studios TOGETHER.
“They slipped in a little after 8 PM and remained backstage for roughly twenty minutes before leaving together,” an eyewitness tells OK!. The pair popped into the event to catch up with Jess’ little sis Ashlee, who was there in support of her guypal Pete Wentz, whose rock group Fall Out Boy was performing.
“Jessica and Orlando are trying to keep their relationship on the down low,” the source says. “It’s all new to them and they’re still just feeling their ways but they are definitely an item.”
Rose McGowan Is Engaged
Actress Rose McGowan is engaged to director Robert Rodridguez, a source close to the actress tells PEOPLE.
McGowan, 34, met Rodriguez, 39, in 2006 when he directed her in the Planet Terror portion of the Grindhouse double feature.
“He’s my best friend,” McGowan told People last June. “We instantly became really good friends.”
Engagement rumors swirled for months as the couple attended Hollywood events, and recently McGowan has been sporting a large diamond ring on her wedding finger.
McGowan previously was engaged to rocker Marilyn Manson. Rodriguez is divorced from producer Elizabeth Avellan, with whom he has five children.
A rep for McGowan declined to comment. Calls to Rodriguez’s rep were not immediately returned.
Jessica Makes $3 Million
Jessica Simpson has renewed her contract as the face of Proactiv for a staggering $3 million.
The 27-year-old singer-and-actress will continue to promote the skincare company's acne treatments.
Jessica's business manager David Levin said: "She did re-sign for another year, she has a great relationship with them."
The blond actress - who angered Proactiv bosses in 2005 when she put her clear skin down to prescription medicine Accutane - has filmed new TV adverts for the company, which are expected to broadcast at Christmas.
Jessica previously praised the treatment, saying: "I just had so much build up and so many clogged pores that once I started using Proactiv Solution, my face was just shining. I'm passionate about Proactiv because it worked for me and it gave me so much confidence."
Jessica is one of many female celebrities to promote the "three-step treatment system", others have included Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Meanwhile, Jessica's "shining face" has attracted Orlando Bloom.
The pair were seen at a Paramount Studios event on Wednesday, before later leaving together.

Josh Hartnett Has A New Girl
After romancing Scarlett Johansson and Helena Christensen, Hartnett, 29, was spotted locking lips with the “Umbrella” singer, 19, last night at NYC club Pink Elephant, a witness tells Usmagazine.com.
A source says the couple — who lunched about three weeks ago in L.A. -- met up after her Thursday night concert at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square.
The duo, who were sipping Dom Perignon and Pink vodka throughout the night, “didn’t come together, but left together,” the witness adds.
When reached by Us, a rep for Hartnett had no comment. Rihanna's rep couldn't be reached for comment.
Orlando ‘s Car Accident
Orlando Bloom was involved in a car accident early Friday morning in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles.
The 30-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star was not injured, nor was he under the influence, according to LAPD officer April Harding.
"Police interviewed Bloom at the scene and at the hospital, and determined that he did not display signs or symptoms of intoxication. No field sobriety test was issued," Harding tells PEOPLE.
The accident occurred around 2:15 a.m., TMZ.com was first to report. Bloom was driving a 2003 Toyota Matrix registered to Dariusz Wolski, the director of photography on the Pirates movies, when another vehicle made a sudden lane change, causing him to swerve and hit two parked cars, police said.
"Bloom believed he was being followed by the paparazzi," Harding said. "He believed the car that cut him off was driven by a photographer."
Earlier in the night, Bloom had dinner in West Hollywood then headed to Green Door, an intimate lounge in Hollywood where he partied until about 2 a.m.
An onlooker at Green Door tells PEOPLE, "Orlando had a drink in his hand but was pretty mellow, he was only casually drinking. There weren't any girls in particular he was with for the night, he was just hanging with a group of people."
Two women in the car with Bloom were injured. A 35-year-old sitting in the back seat suffered a fractured neck. The other passenger, 30, was seated in front and cut by her seat belt.
"[He] is grateful that no one was seriously injured ... He spent last night at the hospital to be with his childhood friend who sustained a minor neck injury. He is thankful that emergency services arrived so quickly and that the ER staff at Cedars Sinai took such good care of his friend," the actor's rep, Robin Baum, said in a statement.
The incident is considered an accident, and no further investigation is pending, police said.

Britney Gets Overnights Once A Week
Britney Spears will get one overnight visit with her kids per week -- at least for now.
L.A. County Court Commissioner Scott Gordon partially accepted her lawyer's plea to give Spears monitored overnight visitation. Spears, who was in court, was sworn in as the afternoon hearing began. She testified, but we don't know what she said.
Spears left the courtroom visibly upset. The overnight visits will be monitored. The parties have not reached an agreement on choosing a different monitor than the one who is already in place.
A court spokesman said today was the result of a compromise between the two sides -- Brit wanted more, K-Fed didn't want her to have any overnights.
K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said after the hearing that he met with Brit's lawyers during the lunch hour. The attorneys told the court that they all agreed to "slightly increase" Brit's visitation. In other words, K-Fed agreed to give Brit a break, and a chance.
Michelle Will Do 6 Months
Michelle Rodriguez was sentenced Wednesday to six months in jail for violating probation in a DUI case.
“(She) admitted violating her probation by failing to provide proof of completion of her community service and for consuming alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol-monitoring device,” said the L.A. City Attorney’s office in a statement.
The Lost star must report to a Los Angeles County jail by Dec. 24.
Superior Court Judge Daviann L. Mitchell also ruled that the actress is not to be granted an early release, despite L.A.’s jail overcrowding. She was also ordered to complete 30 days of road clean-up duty.
The City Attorney’s office had alleged that Rodriguez turned in a false document showing that she completed one day of service on Sept. 25, court filings show. The actress later stated that she was in New York on that date.
Her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Last month, her previous attorney, Richard Beada, said: “We believe this is all due to a clerical error. My client did complete the full 30 days.”
Rodriguez, 29, had been serving an extended probation term for numerous driving infractions.
In May 2006, she served only four hours and 20 minutes of a two-month sentence at the Lynwood, Calif., jail for violating probation, stemming from a DUI arrest in Hawaii in December 2005.
She served, however, just over two days in a Honolulu jail in that case.
In June 2004, Rodriguez had been placed on three years’ probation after pleading no contest to DUI and driving with a suspended license from two separate incidents in the Hollywood area in 2003.
